The purpose of this survey is to set bench marks at the Base Flood Elevation (BFE) as shown on the 1982 FEMA map number 0135 B. (see attached), This FEMA map shows a BFE elevation for the area of interest to be 9 feet. This elevation is referenced to the NGVD29 vertical datum. We have an elevation on the WSDOT monument at the boat launch. The WSDOT elevation for the WSDOT monument is 9.90 ft. (NAVD88) converted using VERTCON equals 6.39 NGVD29. Parametrix shows this same point to be 5.86. I don't know why there is a 0.52 ft. discrepancy but it should be resolved before we proceed with building permits and elevation certificates. We propose to start at the WSDOT monument at the boat launch and run levels through the TBM spikes on the power poles as shown on the map that you sent. Our price for this survey will be $1200, I have spent several hours researching this project and talking to Rick Nelson and yourself.
