The meeting began at 9:30 a.m. Board of Equalization members Dave Gating, Henry Krist and
Mike Smith were present.
FORMATION OF THE BOARD
OATH: All members were sworn in by the Clerk of the Board.
ELECTION: Member Smith moved to appoint Member Garing to serve as Chairman of the
Board for 2011. Member Krist seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
Member Smith moved to appoint Member Krist to serve as Vice - Chairman of the Board for
2011. Chairman Gating seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
All members signed the Minutes and Proceedings form.
PROCESS/PROCEDURES
The process and procedures were reviewed by the Board.
HEARING SCHEDULE
The Board will conduct appeal hearings on August 1 and 4, 2011. Dates to hold determinations
have not yet been scheduled. Future hearings will be scheduled as needed.

ASSESSOR'S UPDATE
Bob Shold and Dennis Pownall from the Assessor's Office were present and answered
procedure questions. Member Smith inquired about the mandatory 2014 change over to an
annual cycle and was informed that Assessor Jack Westerman will attend the August 1, 2011
meeting to discuss that issue He will also discuss the Chimacum revaluation area and what the
Board can expect in terms of values.
Vice - Chairman Krist moved to adjourn the meeting. Member Smith seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.
