The site is located in Lower Hadlock on the waterfront side of Water Street , approximately 42 feet northwest of the warehouse at 330 Water Street . The shelter will be constructed six feet back from the ordinary high water . The development is proposed to be within Port Townsend Bay and/or its associated wetlands . LEGAL DESCRIPTION : The site is described as the northwest half of Lot 5 of and Lots 6 through 8 of Block 7 of the Port Hadlock subdivision within Section 1 , Township 29 North, Range 1 West , WM. FINDINGS: 1 . The proposed development is found to be consistent with Section 2 . 83 , " Definitions , " of the Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program. It is not a substantial development . It would have a fair market value of less than $2 , 500 and would not interfere with the public 's use of the water or shoreline. 2 . The subject site has been designated Urban in the Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program . It is adjacent to existing public and private docks and marine repair facilities . CONDITIONS : 1 ) This approval pertains to Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program requirements only . The approval of any other agency with jurisdiction or any other required permits shall be obtained prior to undertaking the project . 2) Work within the jurisdiction of the shoreline program other than described above shall receive separate review and approval from this office. 3 ) No fill or other material may be placed in the waters or intertidal areas of Jefferson County . XMP88-0047 frm 007a 4 ) This exemption shall expire two years from the date of issue . 5) Due care shall be exercised to ensure that paints , bedding compounds , petroleum products , and other hazardous substances used in repair and maintenance work do not enter ground water or adjacent marine waters .
