CONDITIONS for Building Permit# :BLD14-00065
1.) JCPH approval for the septic system connection is approved based on the growing
operation using soil as the growing medium. The use of hydroponic or water based
growing media IS NOT approved.
2.) JCPH approval is based on the proponents statement that no processing of'edibles'will
be taking place on the premises. If production of'edibles' is proposed at a later date
further review is required to determine if there is adequate capacity in the onsite sewage
system. Water use information and waste strength testing will be required prior to further
review and approval.
3.) The site plan as submitted with the Change of Use/Life & Safety Building application on
February 21, 2014 has been reviewed for consistency under the UDC, and has been
approved by Jefferson County Department of Community Development. Any
modifications, changes, and/or additions to the stamped, approved site plan dated April
30, 2014 shall be resubmitted for review and approval by Jefferson County Department of
Community Development.
4.) Lighting fixtures shall be designed and hooded to prevent the light source from being
directly visible from outside the boundaries of the property. The intensity or brightness of
all lighting, during construction and after project completion shall not adversely affect the
use of surrounding properties or adjoining rights-of-way.
5.) Exterior lighting for commercial and industrial uses shall not exceed thirty feet(30') in
height from the finished grade. Exterior lighting for residential uses shall not exceed
twenty feet (20') in height from the finished grade, excepting when such lighting is an
integral part of a building or structure. Ground level lighting is encouraged.
6.) Parking is required for four (4) spaces (1 handicapped) as depicted on the approved site
plan. Applicant must install proper handicapped signage designating the parking space
closest to the entrance as the ADA parking space.
7.) The intensity of sound emitted by any commercial or industrial activity shall not exceed
levels estabished by the Washington State Department of Ecology under WAC 173-60,
and by Jefferson County under Resolution No. 67-85, "Establishment of Environmental
Designations for Noise Abatement Areas for Jefferson County."
8.) All noise emitting machinery that cannot in any other way operate below the maximum
permitted noise level shall be housed in a sound-attenuating structure.
9.) The storage and handling of inflammable liquids, liquified petroleum, gases and
explosives shall comply with rules and regulations falling under the jurisdiction of the fire
marshal, the laws of the state and other local ordinances. Bulk storage of inflammable
liquids below ground shall be located no closer to the property line than the greatest
dimension (diameter, length, or height) of the tank.
10.) Any new signage, except for the handicapped parking, shall be reviewed by DCD and may
require a zoning permit.
11.) The applicant shall obtain and have on the premises at all times a copy of a Washington
State Liquor Control Board license to process cannabis (WAC 314-55)
