PROJECT NARRATIVE AT&T is proposing to modify an existing wireless communications facility located on parcel 613151000, located approximately 12 miles to the south of Forks in Jefferson County. The facility is accessed by an existing logging/forest road off of Oil City Road, which connects to US Highway 101. Access to the site will remain the same. The existing wireless facility consists of a 250-foot self-support lattice tower, associated radio, power, and utility cabinets located within an existing 60' x 60' fenced compound. The compound is enclosed by a 6-foot tall chain link fence topped with barbed wire. A gate on the south side of the compound provides access. The existing AT&T facility consists of 6 panel antennas, arranged in 3 sectors of 2 antennas each, and mounted at the top of the tower. AT&T is proposing to add 6 additional panel antennas on the existing mounting arms. The final configuration will consist of 12 panel antennas, arranged in 3 sectors of 4 antennas each, located at the top of the 250-foot tower. All existing coaxial cable is currently mounted to the exterior of the pole. No new cables are proposed. At the base of the tower, AT&T currently has their base station operating equipment located on an existing 10' x 16' concrete pad within the fenced compound. AT&T is proposing to add 1 additional cabinet on this existing concrete pad. The tower was originally designed and manufactured by Rohn (Drawing No. A000387, dated February 23, 2000). The tower has been extended by design by WSC (Drawing No. ID-00058,dated January 4,2005). Analysis The tower was analyzed using Semaan Engineering Solutions, Inc., Software. Basic Wind Speed: 110 mph(3-Second Gust) Radial Ice: 50 mph(3-Second Gust)w/ 1/4" ice Code: ANSIITIA-222-G/2009 IBC Antenna Loads The following antenna loads were used in the tower analysis. Conclusion Based on the analysis results, the structure meets the requirements per the ANSI/TIA-222-G standard and the 2009 IBC. The tower and foundation can support the existing and proposed antennas with the transmission line distribution as described in this report.
