This change order is an administrative change necessary to increase the number of contract working days from
30 to 32.5. The working day amount increase is necessary due to unforseen conditions that became apparent
during the course of construction and which were outside of the control of the contractor.
All work materials and measurement to be in accordance with the provisions of the standard specifications and
special provisions for the e of construction involved.

Subject: Change Order No. 1, Chimacum Safe Routes to School Project,
County Project 1805951917, WSDOT Project No. HLP-SR12(003)
Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 1 authorizing two and one half additional
working days.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: Public Works has completed construction for
the above referenced project, and recommends authorization of Change Order No 1.
There will be no additional change orders for this project.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: There is no additional cost associated with this
change order. Furthermore, this project is funded at 100% by a WSDOT Safe Routes to
School program grant.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order
No. 1 and return two signed originals to Public Works for further processing.
