CONDITIONS for Building Permit # :BLD14-00015
1.) The applicant and/or representative shall contact the Development Review Division of the
Permit Center (360-379-4450) regarding a final inspection for compliance of permit
conditions. The applicant shall pay for all staff time needed to verify compliance with the
permit conditions in accordance with the Jefferson County Department of Community
Development Fee Schedule, the Department's review fee is currently $76.00 per hour.
2.) All landscaping and necessary support systems shall be maintained for the life of the
project. All landscape materials shall be pruned and trimmed as necessary to maintain a
healthy growing condition. Landscape areas shall be kept free of trash.
3.) Exterior lighting shall not exceed 30 feet in height from the finished grade (except when
such lighting is an integral part of the building). Exterior lighting shall be energy-efficient
and shielded or recessed so that direct glare and reflections are contained within the
boundaries of the parcel. Exterior lighting shall be directed downward and laway from
adjoining properties and public rights-of-way. No lighting shall blink, flash, or be of
unusually high intensity or brightness. All lighting fixtures shall be appropriate in scale,
intensity, and height to the use they are serving. Any lighting installed in parking areas
shall be of direct cutoff design so that the source is not visible from adjacent property.
The authorization granted herein is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws,
regulations, and ordinances. Compliance with such laws, regulations, and ordinances is a
condition precedent to the approvals granted and is a continuing requirement of such
approvals. By accepting this/these approvals, the applicant represents that the
development and activities allowed will comply with such laws, regulations, and
ordinances. If, during the term of the approval granted, the development and activities
permitted do not comply with such laws, regulations, or ordinances, the applicant agrees
to promptly bring such development or activities into compliance.
5.) Signs shall be incorporated into the landscaping of the site when landscaping is provided
Free-standing signs shall include measures to restrict vehicles from passing beneath
them.
7.) All signs shall be continuously maintained. Signs that present a hazard shall be subject to
abatement.
8.) Signs attached to or painted against the structure to which it relates shall not be computed
as part of the overall total square footage or number.
9.) There shall be no more than two (2) on -premise free standing or projecting signs or
combination thereof.
10.) Only one side of a double-faced sign shall be counted when determining total square
footage. The square footage of the sign shall be calculated by the outside dimensions
necessary to frame the information displayed.
11.) The total square foot of the sign shall not exceed 32 square feet
12.) No sign or part thereof shall consist of rotating, revolving, or moving parts; consist of
banners, streamers, or spinners; or involve flashing, blinking, or alternating lights.
13.) The illumination of signs shall be shaded, shielded, or directed so as not to adversely
affect surrounding properties or public and private rights-of-way or create a hazard or
nuisance to the traveling public, or to surrounding properties.
14.) The site plan as submitted on January 6, 2014 has been reviewed for conslsLency under
the UDC, and has been approved by Jefferson County Department of Community
Development. Any modifications, changes, and/or additions to the stamped, approved
site plan dated March 3, 2014 shall be resubmitted for review and approval by Jefferson
County Department of Community Development.

Please find enclosed the six (6) copies of the BLD14-00015 of a revised sign permit and
sign location for the Jefferson Transit Authority's Maintenance, Operations and
Administration Center signage. REVIEWED FOR
The base of the monument sign will be the same reclaimed wood as the Operat ons and
Administration Building. The new location will not require more clearing or be within
the future Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) easement. Scotch broom will be removed to
the west of the sign (toward SR -20) in order to makq the sigr7 snore visible. Y DCD
