Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Ft Con's: This Contract is for construction of the road realignment between Dowans Creek Road milepost 0.85 and milepost 1.53. The road realignment is necessary in order to move the road out of an active landslide area and preserve access to properties served by Dowans Creek Road beyond the slide area. This final change order includes increased final quantities for three bid items required to complete the project: Light Loose Rip Rap (Item #8), Crushed Surfacing Base Course (Item #11), and Quarry Spall Blend (Item #22). Contract was physically completed October 27tH Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the contract amount by $25,735.80 to $485,830.55. This project is funded at 75% by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), 12.5% by Washington State, and 12.5% by the County Road Fund. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three originals of Change Order No. 5 with Bruch and Bruch Construction and return two (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
