Paul Magid Arcadia Inn 1891 S. Jacob Miller Road Port Townsend WA 98368 Re: Building Permits; Performance Space Dear Mr . Magid: At your request, I have reviewed the building permit files for your practice room and for improvements to the existing barn. I understand that you wish to eventually use these structures as a performance hall . It is my determination that such use meets the land use provisions of the county and requires no further review. The history of the site ( the barn was historically used as a dance hall) and the location and layout of thesite give basis to this determination. The building permits however, should reflect this intended use. A change of use permit may be issued for $28 . 50 to upgrade the existing permits. Improvements to the structure should include those necessary to meet the building code for public use. This includes the need for a "barrier free" restroom, access and exit regulations ( for the handicapped) , and compliance with the energy code . This change of use should in no way prohibit your intended use of the building. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call me.
