Statement of Issue: Publication of the Call for Bids is required for the procurement of products in accordance with RCW 36.32.240 Et RCW 39.04. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: The aggregate products are for use in 2016 and 2017 by the Department of Public Works Road Operations staff in the annual road maintenance Et chip seal preservation program. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The purchase of aggregate products is accounted for in the Dept. of Public Works 2016 and 2017 Road Operations Budgets. The Engineer's Estimate for supply of the aggregate is $60,250.00 per year for a two (2) year total of $120,500.00, plus Washington State Sales Tax. Recommendation: The Department of Public Works recommends the Board approve the Call for Bids and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Call for Bids document where indicated, and then return it to the Department of Public Works for publishing. Department Contact: Dale Seward, Project Manager, 385-9353 Reviewed By: 117114 Philip Morley) unty A` or Date NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALL FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Washington, will receive SEALED BIDS for: SUPPLY OF AGGREGATE PRODUCTS FOR BITUMINOUS SURFACE TREATMENT (BST) FOR CALENDAR YEARS 2016-2017 Bids will be received until the hour of 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the office of the County Commissioners, Jefferson County Courthouse basement level, 1820 Jefferson Street, P.O. Box 1220, Port Townsend, WA 98368. Sealed bids will be opened and read publicly at 10:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter on the same day. This bid is for a two (2) year supply of aggregate products for use by the Jefferson County Dept. of Public Works in their 2016-17 chip seal maintenance program, all in accordance with the General Contract Provisions and current WSDOT Standard Specifications. The County requires up to 6,000 -tons of aggregate over 2 -years. The Engineer's Estimate for this 2 -year contract is up to $60,250 per year for a total of $120,500 plus Washington State Sales Tax. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the General Contract Provisions documents on file at the office of the Dept. of Public Works.
