Subject: Bid Opening for:
Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads for Calendar Year 2016
Statement of Issue:
A request to publicly open and read submitted bids at 10:00 A.M., or shortly thereafter, as
indicated in the CALL FOR BIDS dated February 16, 2016 for Pavement Marking on Jefferson
County Roads in Calendar Year 2016.
Analysis/Strategic Goals:
The Board issued a Call for Bids for the above services on February 16, 2016. Bid invitations
have been duly advertised in accordance with competitive bidding requirements.
Fiscal Impact:
The Department of Public Works has allowed for Pavement marking services in the 2016
Budget for Road Operations. The total Engineers Estimate for this one (1) year project is
$232,617.00.
Recommendation:
The Board is requested to have Public Works staff publicly open and read the submitted bids
aloud, then confirm the accuracy of the bids and verify the bidders' qualifications and make
a recommendation to the Board for award of the Contract at a later date.
