Home My WebLink About032116_ca10Department of Public Works O Consent Agenda Page 1 of 1 Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Agenda Request To: Board of Commissioners Philip Morley, County Administrator From: Monte Reinders, PE, Public Works Director/County Engineer Agenda Date: March 21, 2016 Subject: Recommendation of Award of Contract for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roadways for Calendar Year 2016 Statement of Issue: Public Works staff has completed checking bids opened on March 7, 2016 for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads in Calendar Year 2016, and finds it to be in the County's best interest to award a Contract to Stripe Rite, Inc. of Sumner, WA at the amount specified in their bid. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Bid Award is consistent with the County's goals in that it provides for safety of the motoring public. Signing the attached Recommendation of Award of Contract memo authorizes the contract amount. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: Provisions for pavement marking services are included in the 2016 Road Operations budget. The anticipated amount for this one (1) year Contract period is $229,884.65. Recommendation: The Board is recommended to award the Bid by the Chair's signing of the attached memo where indicated, and then returning the memo to Public Works for further processing. The prepared Contract will then be returned to the Board for final execution at a later date.
