Code Publishing Company, 9410 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115. STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Updating the Unified Development Code—Title 18 of the Jefferson County Code—is a scheduled task with the Comprehensive Plan Periodic Review. The Jefferson County Code is maintained by Code Publishing Company of Seattle under a contract for limited amount of regular services. This addendum will provide for a one-time editorial review of the UDC to update state WAC and RCW references, check for internal consistency of the code and to correct Scribner errors. ANALYSIS: This one-time review of the UDC by Code Publishing will prepare the code for a limited omnibus bill of citation updates and corrections, in advance of the UDC update analysis that occurs with the Comprehensive Plan Periodic Review. This action will efficiently clean the code of minor errors so that participants in the code update process can focus on the relevant update material and not get bogged down with the minor corrections. FISCAL IMPACT: The editorial review will cost $3,000, and the funds are identified in the general fund cost center. RECOMMENDATION: Sign addendum to the Code Publishing Contract and return to DCD for further processing.
