Undie Road MP 1.1 Emergency Repair, County Project No. X01990 County Road No.150009 Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 2 with Bruch and Bruch Construction, Inc. of Port Angeles, Washington for the above referenced project. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's 8t Con's: Slide activity continues to cause damage to Undie Road in the vicinity of milepost 1.1. Emergency repairs were completed in January and February to replace two culverts and perform road realignment. The road has continued to settle and crack, requiring daily monitoring and maintenance to preserve access through the site. This contract is for additional road realignment work, necessitated by the ongoing slide activity. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The amount for Change Order No. 2 is $35,000, which will increase the total contract amount to $144,000. This will be funded by the County Road Fund, with the possibility of funding assistance from FEMA (75%) and Washington State (12.5%). Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three originals of Change Order No. 2 with Bruch and Bruch Construction, Inc. and return two originals to Public Works.
