SUBJECT: Drywells for Ontiveros — 40 Grenville Court, Port Townsend,
Washington

Dear Ms. Sebastian
This office has performed a site inspection on the project noted above. The two
drywells in the front of the house, as shown on the previous site plan, do not meet the
required ten foot setback to the foundation for the covered porch without getting into the
roots of the large cedar trees on the site. To address this issue the two drywells will be
combined into one drywell 6' long, 5' wide and 4' deep. This new drywell has been sized
in accordance with the 2012 Stormwater Management Manual of Western Washington.
This drywell will be located ten foot from the property line and ten foot from the
foundation of the front porch as can be seen on the attached site plan. It can be
installed without getting into the roots of the large cedar trees and without removing any
other trees.
