STATE OF WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING }
THE DATE FOR 2017 BUDGET } RESOLUTION NO. 90-1k
SUBMISSIONS, REVIEW HEARINGS }
AND FINAL ADOPTION }
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.071, the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners has selected the alternate date of the first Monday in December to hold budget
hearings for the purpose of adoption of the Jefferson County budget for 2017; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.071, the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners has also selected to set other dates relating to the budget process, including but
not limited to the dates set in RCW 36.40.010 and RCW 36.40.050 to conform to the alternate
date for the budget hearing; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.010, the
Jefferson County Auditor shall notify, in writing, each elected or appointed County official to file
with her on or before the 1St day of September 2016, an estimated budget for the ensuing year;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.050, the Jefferson
County Auditor shall submit the budget to the County Administrator by September 19, 2016; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.070 and RCW
36.40.071 the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public budget hearing on
December 5, 2016 the first Monday in December, that said hearing may be continued from day to
day until concluded but not to exceed a total of five (5) days, and that the Jefferson County
Budget for 2017 shall be deliberated upon and adopted thereafter.
