As you know this manufactured home is approved for Temporary Occupancy only. Jefferson County recently adopted an Ordinance #21-1218-95. This is an ordinance that amends the Zoning Code #09-0801-94, modifying the definition and standards for the implementation of Accessory Dwelling Units. What this means is that you may transfer your temporary approval into an "Accessory Dwelling Unit", which would then allow your second residence to be permanent. To do this you first need to read the enclosed copy of the ordinance to see if you qualify, and second you then need to contact me so that I may process the paperwork. REMOVAL OF STRUCTURE--The Owner will remove the temporary residence within sixty (60) days from the date of termination of occupancy by the Owners mother. ANNUAL INSPECTION AND FEE--The Owner will pay a $25.00 annual inspection fee for an inspection of the residence and drainfield area by an authorized agent of the County. The purpose of said inspection is to determine on an annual basis the status of occupancy of the residence and the functioning of the sewage disposal system.
