(NTI) completed a review of the home addition construction plans prepared by Jerry O'Claire of Precision Drafting and Design for the project site at 651 Bachelor Road in Sequim (Gardiner), Washington. The purpose of our review was to verify that the construction plans are consistent with the geotechnical recommendations provided by NTI in our July 2015, geotechnical report for the site. We have reviewed the latest construction plans prepared by Mr. O'Claire, dated October 14, 2015, and found that our geotechnical recommendations have been accurately incorporated into the drawings. It is important to note that the southerly footing and stem wall of the addition be embedded to a total depth of 4 feet from the surface of the ground to the bottom of the footing. This will ensure that the footing is wholly founded on undisturbed earth. If in doubt at the time of excavation and construction, notify the undersigned Engineers for field assistance. We also provided geotechnical recommendations to improve drainage conditions at the site and for control of stormwater runoff from the new addition. Those recommendations have been incorporated into the November, 2015, Stormwater, Erosion, and Sediment Control Plan for the project prepared by NTI. We anticipate that the Jefferson County Department of Community Development may require a geotechnical inspection from NTI to satisfy building permit requirements. If such is the case, please contact the undersigned Engineers to coordinate an inspection. 1) J1 0— COM l l Thank you for asking us to complete this review.
