The contract covers a variety of services. The services include administration, training expenses (volunteers, board members, and staff), community information activities, consumer support (Early intervention services for Child development services for Birth to 3), Group Supported Employment, Pre Vocational Services, Individual Supported Employment, Individual Technical Assistance, Community Access, and other activities (special projects), The statement of work requires a qualified coordinator, advisory board, Interm(diate Care Facilities agreement (where applicable), working knowledge of DSHS/DRW Access Agreement, Feb. 27, 2001, and assignment of Medicaid billing rights under Title XIX. Jefferson County has professional service subcontracts with agencies or organizations representing each group. The developmental disabilities program services provide educational opportunities for life-long learning and training to a specific workforce that allows interactions, equal opportunity, and integrated participation with non -disabled community members. These program services also support strategic efforts toward a sustainable economic base by recognizing the need for integrated employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. DDA program services undergird the economic reach of the disabled community by supporting programs that emphasize and address prevention, early intervention, and recovery; and provide opportunities to overcome community complexity by providing community outreach and activities that recognize the significant health issues the disabled community confronts.
