HomeMy WebLinkAboutBLD1992-00573 n r fl) JEFFERSON COUNTY-CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND SHORELINE SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT EXEMPTION WASHINGTON STATE SHORELINE MANAGEMENT ACT (RCW 90.58) PROPONENT: Heidi Brandt and Stig Osterberg DATE ISSUED: June 17, 1992 DATE EXPIRES: June 17, 1993 CASE NUMBER: XMP92-0034 PROPOSAL: The proposal is to repair and maintain an existing beach cabin, replace rotten/damaged pilings of an existing deck, and to construct approximately 120 feet of riprap in common with a single family residence. The beach cabin was in existence prior to the passage of the Shorelines Management Act. It is used for recreation; it has not been used as a residence. The cabin is at the bottom of a steep bank approximately 80 feet high. Maintenance and repair of the beach cabin includes a new roof and interior remodeling. The development is proposed to be within Discovery Bay and/or its associated wetlands. • LEGAL DESCRIPTION: 150 Adelma Beach Road; Tax F-7 and Tax F-8 within Section 32, Township 30 North, Range 1 West, WM. FINDINGS: 1 . The proposal is consistent with Exemptions Section 3.402(6) of the Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program. CONDITIONS: 1. This approval pertains to Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program requirements only. The approval of any other agency with jurisdiction or any other required permits shall be obtained prior to undertaking the project. 2. Work within the jurisdiction of the shoreline program other than described above shall receive separate review and approval from this office. 3. Except as allowed by this exemption, no fill or other material may be placed in the waters or intertidal areas of Jefferson County or the City of Port Townsend. 4. The bulkhead shall be placed as close to the bank as practicable. 5. Prior to commencing construction, proponent shall contact the Washington State Department of Fisheries at 895-4757 to determine whether this action is subject to the Washington State Hydraulics Code. 6. As per agreement with Jefferson County, the use of the cabin shall not be altered to a residence. In order to ensure this, interior remodeling may include a sink, bath and toilet facilities, and refrigerator. Remodeling shall not include provision of bedrooms or a stove. In addition a notice to this effect shall be placed on the title. 7. The proponent shall notify the Jefferson County Planning and Building Department 48 hours in advance prior to commencing construction in order to allow monitoring and ensure conformance with project conditions.
