Both of these appointment requests reflect staff changes whereby former SWAC members Matt Hall and Kent Kovalenko are no longer employed by the respective companies. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's and Con's: Both Skookum Contract Services and local Waste Connections companies (Murrey's Olympic Disposal and DM Disposal) serve functions that are critical to the collection and routing of trash and recyclables from Jefferson County to sanitary disposal and secondary markets. It is important that these companies are both informed of local solid waste issues and have the ability to provide input as the SWAC considers any program changes. The Solid Waste Manager has provided an introduction to SWAC activities and responsibilities to both of the potential appointees.
