Jefferson County is updating its comprehensive Plan for the 21st century and wants to hear from you. Let’s discuss, debate, and revise what this living document should say to reflect our VALUES, DESIRES, NEEDS, LIMITATIONS and ACCOMPLISHMENTS. Why care? The tranquil waters, inspiring beauty, stories, and bountiful natural resources in our county is the stuff of legends. We have a commitment to pass down our heritage in a changing world to create a community of lasting value. Let’s plan for a better future. A safe, walkable, bikeable community for our kids. Current zoning has four main designations: residential, resource (agricultural, forestry, and mining), commercial, and industrial. I think we could do better keeping our rivers clean.
