Subject: Letters of Appreciation to Our Members of Congress for Supporting
the Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) Applications
Statement of Issue: On February 16, 2016 the Board signed applications for the Public
Works Department to apply for three projects for the Federal Lands Access Program.
Two of these applications, Undie Road Relocation and the Oil City Road Engineering
Assessment, received funding.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's: With the support of our Members of Congress
the County was awarded two Federal Lands Access Program projects:
• Undie Road Relocation in the amount of $2,001,814.
• Oil City Road Engineering Assessment MP 8.50 to 10.98 in the amount of
$250,000.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: None. Funds and projects are administered and
delivered by Federal Highways.
Recommendation: Please sign and mail the attached letters to Senator Patty Murray,
Senator Maria Cantwell, and Representative Derek Kilmer. Return a copy of each signed
letter to Public Works (Attn: Zoe Ann Lamp).
