HomeMy WebLinkAbout121916_ca02Department of Public Works O Consent Agenda Page 1 of 1 Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Agenda Request To: Board of Commissioners Philip Morley, County Administrator From: Monte Reinders, Public Works Director Agenda Date: December 19, 2016 Subject: Contract Supplement #3: Collection System Local Improvement District Support Services - Port Hadlock Wastewater Facility Statement of Issue: The Department of Public Works requests Board approval of the attached Supplement #3 for the Collection System Local Improvement District (LID) Support Services contract with Tetra Tech, Inc. for the Port Hadlock Wastewater System. Supplement #3 extends the completion date until March 10, 2018. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Lack of adequate funding from State and Federal sources has delayed the implementation of this project; however, it is advisable to keep the consultant under contract to provide services contained in this contract which may be needed for public outreach, financial planning, and cost estimating services. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: Supplement is for time only. Recommendation: The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board execute Supplement #3 and return two originals to the Department for further processing. This supplement extends the completion date by two years, keeping the Consultant available for work on this project as needed at such time as funding becomes available. The Local Agency of Jefferson County desires to supplement the agreement entered into with Tetra Tech. Inc. and executed on March 11.2013 and identified as Project No. 40516932 All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement. The changes to the agreement are described as follows: Section 11, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read: No Change II Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for completion of the work to read: "All work under this AGREEMENT shall be completed by March 10. 2018.
