JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH

WHEREAS, the purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the fee schedule for Jefferson County Public Health,
Environmental Health Division
WHEREAS, this Ordinance promotes the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance is proposed and may be enacted pursuant to the general police power granted to
Jefferson County and its Board of Health by the State Constitution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Jefferson County Board of Health as follows:
Section 1 — Purpose
That the Fee Schedule for Jefferson County Public Health under Ordinance 03-0818-16 be amended to reflect
the addition of an annual fee per septic system that will support the Septic Operations and Monitoring Program
activities and a fee that will allow Jefferson County Staff to assist homeowners by entering monitoring
inspection data. Fees adopted under this ordinance shall not be adjusted by Ordinance 12-1209-96 Section 4 -
Annual Fee Indexing until January 2018.
Section 2 — Effective Date
That this Ordinance (and its Attachment) shall be effective as of January 1, 2017.
Section 3 — Fees
That the schedule for Jefferson County Public Health, Division of Environmental Health, adjustments to the
Environmental Health Fee Schedule, Environmental Health hereby set by the Jefferson County Board of Health
as listed on the attached fee schedule of the proposed Ordinance.
Section 4 — Severability
A determination that any text, fee, or fees adopted as part of this Ordinance is unlawful or illegal shall not cause
any other text, fee, or fees adopted as part of this Ordinance unaffected by that determination to be repealed,
revised, or reduced.

Section 5 — Prior Fee Schedules Repealed
Any prior fee schedule previously adopted by this Board that contains or reflects fee amounts that are less than
those adopted herein is hereby repealed and replaced by this Ordinance.
