Subject: Bid Opening for:
Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads for Calendar Year 2017
Statement of Issue:
A request to publicly open and read submitted bids at 10:00 A.M., or shortly thereafter, as
indicated in the CALL FOR BIDS for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads in Calendar
Year 2017, dated February 6, 2017.
Analysis/Strategic Goals:
The Board issued a Call for Bids for the above services on February 6, 2017. Bid invitations
have been duly advertised in accordance with competitive bidding requirements.
Fiscal Impact:
The Department of Public Works has allowed for Pavement marking services in the 2017
Budget for Road Operations. The Engineers Estimate for this one (1) year project is
$223,459.48.
Recommendation:
The Board is requested to have Public Works staff publicly open and read the submitted bids
aloud, then confirm the accuracy of the bids and verify the bidders' qualifications and make
a recommendation to the Board for award of the Contract at a later date.
