MINUTES
Week of March 20, 2000
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Wojt. Commissioner Dan Harpole
was present. Commissioner Glen Huntingford was not present.
COUNTY ADMINISTRA TOR 'S BRIEFING SESSION: Charles Saddler reported:
The Jefferson County Historical Society has been contacted about the Time Capsule Project at
Heritage Park on the State Capitol Campus and have agreed to handle this project for the County.~
The CAC request regarding zoning for a building in the Glen Cove Industrial Park for relocation of
their offices. There is an ordinance that identifies criteria for public facilities and this request
would have to be handled as a conditional use on this site. The issues to be addressed go beyond
the CAC request and will probably take up to 18 months to resolve through the adoption of the
final development regulations. The EICO could be amended to address this issue in the interim.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: No one appeared to comment.
The Board approved, and the Chair signed, a request for funding for $500.00 from the Jefferson County
Veterans Memorial and Museum Association to be help in the construction of the Korean War Veterans
Memorial and the Coast Guard Memorial at Point Hudson in Port Townsend.
Application for Assistance from the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund: Commissioner
Harpole moved to approve the application for assistance from the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund as
recommended by the Jefferson County Service Officers Association in the amount of $300.00. Chairman
Wojt seconded the motion which carded.
APPROVAL AND ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA: Commissioner Harpole
moved to approve all of the items on the Consent Agenda as presented. Chairman Wojt seconded the
motion which carried.
