HomeMy WebLinkAbout011 17rtes 311g11`7 STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson IN THE MATTER OF A NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY } RESOLUTION NO. 11 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose of surplus property; and WHEREAS, the various departments have indicated a need to dispose of those items on the list of surplus equipment attached to this Resolution, for sale at a public auction to be held on May 12, 2017 at 10:00 am and to be sold by James G. Murphy, Inc., of Kenmore, Washington at the County Shop located at 371 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock, WA. The lot will be open for preview from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, and WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.020 requires that an intention to declare surplus be published with a Notice of Public Hearing regarding the disposal of any County property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Jefferson County that they make a Notice of Public Hearing shall be published as required by RCW 36.34.020 particularly describing the property to be sold and designating the place where, the day and hour, when the hearing will be held for such consideration. RCW 36.34.020, 36.34.030, 36.34.340, 36.34.050 & 36.34.090 outline statutory requirements to dispose of property. The list of equipment is included with the draft Resolution. ANALYSIS: Large equipment to be sold auction by James G Murphy, Inc., of Kenmore, Washington at the Jefferson County Shop located at 371 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock, Washington on May 12, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: Minimal revenue is expected. Proceeds from items will be returned to individual departments separately (after Treasurer and Auditor publication expenses and the auctioneer's percentage are deducted). (May 5, 2017) Auction service charges and pays the sales tax on items to the state.
