COMMISSIONER ANNOUNCEMENTS
0:02:30 - Nilssen Addresses Community Development staff to clarify facts regarding the Pleasant Harbor
Master Planner Resort.
0:03:30 - Jochems Asks Community Development staff about the future availability of the Jefferson County
SpeakUp website.
0:05:00 - Coker Reminds Planning Commission of the Community Development booth that will be
present at the Home and Landscape show on Saturday February 25th.
DIRECTOR UPDATES
0:05:30 - Greetham Follows up on Kevin Coker's comment regarding the Home and Landscape Show booth.
Also mentions the current acting Planning Commission Secretary, Haylie Clement, has
accepted a position with the City of Port Townsend and this will be her final meeting.
DISCUSSION
0:11:05 The Planning Commission met for a second time with the facilitator, Essie Hicks, to
begin drafting the introductory/vision portion of the Comprehensive Plan. The
Planning Commission discussed and decided on what the structure of the document will
look like. Discussion was followed by a hands-on workshop to encourage involvement
and track ideas for this project.
1:34:50 Planning Commission discusses guidelines for the introductory/vision document and
builds a committee to begin drafting.

FOLLOW-UP ITEMS
1: 49:00 - Koan Vision Statement subcommittee (Matt Sircely, Cynthia Koan, Michael Nilssen, Tom
Giske) is to meet and begin document draft before March 1St Planning Commission
meeting.
Next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for 3/01/2017 at 6:30 pm at the Tri -Area Community Center.
