Highlights from Monday’s Commissioner Meeting November 29, 2005
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The
following comments were made: a
petition was submitted with several
signatures requesting that the Board
use their authority to hold a public
hearing on the Navy’s expansion of
the uses and activities at Indian
Island; in a newspaper article, the
Administrator who oversees the
ordinance regarding junk cars that
was recently
passed by the
Board of Health
stated that there is
a limit on the
amount of the fines
that the County will
impose; and the
County still needs to
adopt a noise
ordinance.
CONSENT AGENDA: All of the items
on the Consent Agenda were approved
as follows:
2 AGREEMENTS: 1) Olympic Oyster
Restoration Project with Betsy Peabody,
and, 2) Engineering design and
construction services on Donkey Creek
Culvert and various other projects with
Shearer Design LLC
