PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a
summary of comments made by citizens in
attendance at the meeting and reflect their
personal opinions:
• Three (3) citizens commented on the Port
Ludlow timber harvest issue
• Four (4) citizens commented on the proposed
marijuana regulations
CONSENT AGENDA: The Board unanimously
approved the items on the consent agenda as
presented:
- ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT: Ferry
Advisory Committee (FAC); City of Port
Townsend Representative, Planning Director
Lance Bailey
- Payment of Jefferson County
Vouchers/Warrants Dated June 1, 2015
Totaling $2,562.31
COMMISSIONERS BRIEFING SESSION: To allow
time for discussion of scheduled agenda items,
no updates were provided.
PROPOSED ORDINANCE re: Production,
Processing, and Retailing of Recreational
Marijuana within Jefferson County: After
discussing the proposed ordinance in the
morning and afternoon sessions, the Board
voted 2-1 to adopt the proposed ordinance as
recommended by the Planning Commission
with one minor wording change.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board met in
Executive Session from 10:04 a.m. until 10:53
a.m. regarding actual litigation. At the
conclusion of the Executive Session, the Board
authorized staff to begin a negotiation process
with Port Ludlow Associates regarding their
recent timber harvest.
CLOSED SESSION: The Board met in Closed
Session from 11:00 a.m. until 12:05 p.m.
regarding strategy or position for Collective
Bargaining.
UPDATE re: Quilcene Acquisition 2012 Project
(RCO#12-1384C): Environmental Health staff of
the Public Health Department provided an
update on the Quilcene Acquisition 2012
Project. After discussing next steps, it was
agreed that staff will conduct further research
and provide a report to the Board at a future
meeting.

Board discussed the following topic:
