HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-10-15PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of comments made by citizens in attendance at the meeting and reflect their personal opinions: • One citizen stated he represents many residents in Port Ludlow who have concerns regarding the recent logging there. He asked the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to consider suggestions made by residents during a recent meeting they held; • Two citizens voiced concern over the Quilcene Traffic Safety project and suggested more public involvement and an earlier completion time; and • A citizen stated the Planning Commission should have been made aware of the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) process from the beginning and expressed concern about aspects of the plan. LETTER: The Board approved sending a letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers re: Protecting Lummi Nation Treaty Rights. BRIEFING: Department of Community Development Director Carl Smith reviewed proposed amendments to the County- Wide Planning Policies. Further review of the proposed amendments is scheduled to take place in the afternoon on Monday, August 17, 2015.
