comments made by citizens in attendance at the meeting and
reflect their personal opinions:
• A citizen stated he is the Superintendent of the Chimacum
School District and submitted a packet describing this year’s
bond proposal. A second citizen urged everyone to vote yes for
school levy bonds;
• A citizen stated: 1) The courthouse should have security
upgrades; 2) It has been 74 years since the attack on Pearl
Harbor; 3) Elected officials should be ashamed for sending our
manufacturing and industrial base to China; and
4) Americans feel threatened which is why they will vote for
Donald Trump, who is the meanest dog in the fight; and
• 13 citizens voiced their opinion regarding the Sportsmen’s
Association Gun Club.
CONSENT AGENDA: The Board deleted and later approved
Consent Agenda Item No. 9 re: Permission to Enter and Waiver
Liability for Knotweed Control; Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement

HEARING re: Jefferson County 2016 Budget: Staff reviewed the
proposed 2016 Budget with amendments and Commissioners
listened to public testimony. The final budget is scheduled for
adoption on December 14, 2015.
DISCUSSION re: Sportsmen’s Club Association Agreement: The
Environmental Health Director updated the Commissioners on
an agreement between the County and the Jefferson County
Sportsmen’s Club Association. After discussion, the Board
unanimously approved the agreement. Commissioner Kler
encouraged the continuation of good neighborhood relations.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed
Courthouse Security, North Pacific Coast Marine Resources
Committee Update, Calendar Coordination, Miscellaneous Items
and Future Agenda Items.
