PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of
comments made by citizens in attendance at the meeting and
reflect their personal opinions:
• A citizen is in favor of the proposed ordinance banning sky (fire)
lanterns; and
• A citizen wished everyone a happy winter solstice.
CONSENT AGENDA: The Board deleted and then later approved
consent agenda items 9, 10 and 11 re: MOU GR 31.1. The
following items were approved as submitted:

APPROVAL of MINUTES: The Board approved the Regular
Meeting minutes of October 12, 2015 as presented.
COMMISSIONERS BRIEFING SESSION: The Commissioners
reported on their meeting schedules.
HEARING re: 4th Quarter Budget Appropriations/Extensions;
Various County Departments: After hearing public testimony,
the Board adopted RESOLUTION NO. 62-15 approving the
budget appropriations and extensions.
HEARING re: Proposed Ordinance Banning Sky Lanterns in
Unincorporated Jefferson County and providing for the Banning
of Fireworks in Unincorporated Jefferson County when a State
of Extreme Fire Danger is Declared by Resolution. After hearing
public testimony the Board adopted ORDINANCE NO. 12-1221-
15 with edits. .
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board held an Executive Session to
discuss actual litigation.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed
2016 Board Assignments, Storm Damage to County Roads and
Miscellaneous Items.

Jefferson County offices will be closing at
12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2015
and reopening on December 28, 2015.
There will be no Board of County
Commissioner meeting on December 28, 2015.
