PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of
comments made by citizens in attendance at the meeting and
reflect their personal opinions:
• The chair of the Planning Commission: 1) Reviewed activities,
concerns and upcoming events; and 2) Requested easier
access to Board of County Commissioner meetings online;
• A citizen stated that in lieu of Hadlock Days, Port Hadlock is
holding a Block Party August 6, 2016 at noon; and
• A citizen thanked Commissioner Kler for attending an equine
event at Beausite Lake Camp.
CONSENT AGENDA: The Board approved the items on the
consent agenda as presented:
3 AGREEMENTS: 1) Amendment No. 1 re: Provision and
Coordination of Local Program Services to Persons with
Developmental Disabilities; Washington State Department of
Social and Health Services (DSHS), Developmental Disabilities
Division; 2) Amendment No. 1 re: Surveying Services Undie
Road Emergency Relocation Project, County Project No.
CR18020070, FEMA Disaster No. 4249-DR-WA; Clark Land
Office; and 3) E911 County Based Service Operations;
JeffCom911 Communications; Washington State Military
Department
Payment of Jefferson County Vouchers/Warrants Dated July
25, 2016 Totaling $456,893.64
PROCLAMATION: The Commissioners read and approved a
proclamation Proclaiming the Week of August 1, 2016 as
Jefferson County Employee Recognition Week. There will be
an employee picnic at HJ Carroll Park on August 4, 2016 at
5:00 p.m. Employees and their families are welcome!
DISCUSSION: The Board discussed upgrading the County’s GIS
online geographic mapping. After review, the Board approved
2 AGREEMENTS: 1) GIS Professional Services; Pro-West &
Associates, Inc.; and 2) Enterprise License Agreement; ESRI.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board held an executive session to
discuss potential litigation.
MEETING CANCELLATION: The Commissioners cancelled the
August 22, 2016 Board of County Commissioners’ Regular
meeting and set a BOCC Special Meeting on August 29, 2016.
COMMISSIONERS’ BRIEFING SESSION: The Commissioners
reported on their meeting schedules.
LETTER: The Board approved sending a letter to the
Washington State Auditor’s Office re: 2015 Audit
Engagement.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed
various topics with the County Administrator.
