HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-07-16 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of comments made by citizens in attendance at the meeting and reflect their personal opinions: • A citizen commented on his Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) application being denied; • A citizen: 1) Stated there will be a seminar on growing marijuana this Wednesday at the Chimacum Grange; 2) Commented on the County’s septic issues; and 3) Commented on the status of the Presidential race; • Four (4) citizens commented on the status of mediation between the County and Port Ludlow Associates (PLA) regarding PLA’s timber harvesting in Port Ludlow; and • A citizen stated she is unhappy with the Boom Fest event and urged Commissioner Sullivan to contact her. CONSENT AGENDA: The Board deleted Item No. 2 (Resolution Adopting the Jefferson County-City of Port Townsend All Hazards Mitigation Plan (2016 Revision)) and approved the remaining Consent Agenda items as submitted: HEARING NOTICE re: Setting 2017 Ad Valorem Tax Levies; Hearing Scheduled for Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers 2 AGREEMENTS: 1) Conservation Futures Fund for 2016 Quimper Wildlife Corridor (QWC) Addition; Jefferson Land Trust; and 2) AGREEMENT NO. SEANWS-2016-JeCoWS-00006 re: Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee (MRC) Operations and Projects; Washington State University; Washington State Department of Ecology Letter of Appreciation re: Support for Three Projects for the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Fiscal Year 2016 Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP); Undie Road Relocation; Oil City Road Engineering Assessment; and Snow Creek Culvert Replacement; Senator Maria Cantwell, Representative Derek Kilmer, and Senator Patty Murray Advisory Board Resignation re: Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council (TCC); Port Hadlock/Tri Area Discovery Bay Representative, Allison DuRoi Advisory Board Resignation re: Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; District #2 Representative, Evan Dobrowski Advisory Board Resignation re: Olympic Area Agency on Aging (O3A) Advisory Board; Jefferson County Representative, Joan Williams Advisory Board Appointment re: Olympic Area Agency on Aging (O3A) Advisory Board; Jefferson County Representative; Three (3) Year Term Expiring November 7, 2019; Kristin Kiesel Payment of Jefferson County Vouchers/Warrants Dated October 24, 2016 Totaling $525,052.35 and Dated October 25, 2016 Totaling $263.50 and Dated October 28, 2016 Totaling $2,409.80 DISCUSSION: After a brief discussion, the Board approved setting a $5,000 Performance Bond amount for the Port Ludlow Drainage District Commissioners consistent with RCW 85.38.080. APPROVAL of MINUTES: The Board approved the Government to Government Meeting minutes of September 23, 2016, Regular Meeting minutes of September 26, 2016, October 10 and 17, 2016 and the Emergency Meeting minutes of October 14, 2016 as presented. COMMISSIONERS’ BRIEFING SESSION: The Commissioners reported on their meeting schedules. COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed various topics with the County Administrator.
