PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of
comments made by individuals in attendance at the meeting
and reflect their personal opinions:
• Four individuals voiced their concern over geoduck farming in
Squamish Harbor;
• Two individuals would like clarification from the Sheriff’s Office
regarding their policy on immigration;
• An individual suggested that Jefferson County would benefit
from hiring enforcement personnel; and
• An individual: 1) Stated that the new Environmental Health
Director will be speaking at the Chimacum Grange on
March 8, 2017; and 2) Gave information on the effects of
Agent Orange and NutraSweet and how they were approved.

COMMISSIONERS’ BRIEFING SESSION: The Commissioners
reported on their recent meetings and shared their upcoming
meeting schedules.
BID OPENING: Two bids were received and read aloud for the
Publication of County Legal Notices. The Clerk of the Board
will review the bids and submit a recommendation for bid
award to the Board at a future date.
BID OPENING: Four bids were received and read aloud for
the Olympic Discovery Trail, South Discovery Bay, Segment
A, Phase 1 and 2. Public Works staff will review the bids and
submit a recommendation for bid award to the Board at a
future date.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board held an Executive Session on
actual litigation.
UPDATE: The Marine Resources Committee gave a
presentation on their annual report.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed
various topics with the County Administrator.
