Subject: Approval of Plans for Improvements to a County Road,
Center Road Overlay Phase 5: MP 0.00 to 2.26
County Project No. 18019270, CRAB Project No. 1613-01
Statement of Issue: Per RCW 36.77.010 and as part of the County road system, the Board of
County Commissioners is asked to approve the Center Road Overlay, Phase 6, project plans.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's: This is a pavement preservation project and includes
a Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay of Center Road between mileposts 0.00 and 2.26. It also includes
the replacement of an existing culvert as well as the installation of traffic lane markings and
recessed pavement markers.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The Engineer's Estimate for construction is $773,559
The project is funded at 90% by the County Road Administration Board (CRAB) with matching
funds provided by the Public Infrastructure Fund (PIF).
Recommendation: The Board is requested to approve the project plans and indicate this
approval by way of the Chairperson's signature on the project plan's cover sheet.
