Statement of Issue:
Bid opening at 9:45 a.m. or shortly thereafter for construction of the
Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail, Phase I Project, CR1815.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Cons:
A Call for Bids was issued by the Jefferson County Board of County
Commissioners on April 24, 2017. This project is included in the 2017-
2022 Transportation Improvement Program and the 2017 Annual
Construction Program as Item No. 5.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
Construction for this project is funded with two grants: an FHWA STP -R
grant and a State Pedestrian Et Bike Safety Program grant. The
Engineer's Estimate for construction is $653,414.04.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to witness the public bid opening and direct
Public Works to review the bids and make a recommendation for award
at a later date.
