member Lyndsey Kellum left for him. He wants to give back to
the community in any way he’s able.
4:05 – 5:00
Work on Strategic Plan Update / Revision. Denise reported
that we are required to use the CPWI template. The group
reviewed the Assessment Committee’s work in order to help
the group understand how it informs the draft Action Plan. The
group discussed proposals for action in the next fiscal year.
We decided not to name responsible parties, but rather
include the whole coalition and its coordinator as responsible
parties.
Michelle Kaster and Denise are going to get together to
discuss what (existing or new) direct service program will be
best suited and beneficial to the three lower schools –
Primary, Elementary, and Middle.
The Organization and Development group didn’t meet but
Tanya Barnett continued to work on drafts they outlined in
their initial meeting. Tanya sent a document to Denise that
proposes changes to the mission and vision statements.
We’d also like to change the organizational structure to a less
formal structure that better reflects the true nature of the
group: more collaborative and horizontal rather than vertical.
We also decided not to use Robert’s Rules, as they are too
formal for this volunteer advocacy coalition. We want to
emphasize consensus. Revised Mission and Vision
Statements were reviewed. Several liked the vision statement
