PROPOSAL: The proposal is repair of breakwater and replace slips and walkways
at Port Hadlock Inn and Marina damaged by December 1990 storm.
The development is proposed to be within Port Townsend Bay and/or its associated
wetlands.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lots 14, 15, and 16 of Government Lot 3 within Section 1 ,
Township 29 North, Range 1 West, WM.
FINDINGS:
1 . The proposal is consistent with Exemptions Section 3.402(6) of the Jefferson-
Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program.
CONDITIONS:
1 . This approval pertains to Jetferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management
Master Program requirements only. The approval of any other agency with
jurisdiction or any other required permits shall be obtained prior to undertaking
the project.
2. Work within the jurisdiction of the shoreline program other than described
above shall receive separate review and approval from this office.
3. No fill or other material may be placed in the waters or intertidal areas of
Jefferson County or the City of Port Townsend.
4. The proposal is essentially the same as the original in location, size, design ,
function, and use.
5. The replacement shall be completed within two (2) years after damage.
6. The proponent shall notify the Jefferson County Planning and Building
Department 48 hours in advance prior to commencing construction in order
to allow monitoring and ensure conformance with project conditions.
NOTICE:
This exemption does not excuse the proponent from complying with other local,
state, and federal ordinances, regulations, or statutes applicable to the proposed
development.
