Troy Surber (designated), Adam Marquis (designated), and Anne Dean Board Members Absent: Conner Daily, Garin Williams, Kenneth Frohning, Artis, Anthonie Cullen Staff Present: Teresa Wirth, Julia Danskin, Vince Marquis Staff Absent: Ford Kessler, Kelly Matlock Guests: Steve Workman I. Approval of Agenda –Anne Dean/Kathleen Kler/All II. Introductions – None III. Approval of the January, 2015 minutes –Kathleen Kler/Anne Dean/All IV. Public Comments/From the Floor/Announcements – Troy Surber reported Port Townsend Police Department (PTPD) is seeing a significant increase in the number of DUI’s involving Marijuana. PTPD is being progressive in utilizing search warrants. Troy also reported on Palcohol, a powdered form of Alcohol and the potential implications if it is made available. V. Provider Reports Prevention Kelly Chimacum Prevention Coalition (CPC) Activities  CPC had its monthly meeting on Wednesday April 8, 2015. Focus of the meeting was the revision of the CPC Strategic Plan and the upcoming Key Leader Meeting on May 11, 2015. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2015.  CPC will host the annual Key Leader Meeting on Monday May 11, 2015. CPC will present information about the Strategic Plan revision and will also have a panel discussion on the “Legal and Financial Implications of Underage Drinking and Drugging.” The panelists are: - Barbara Carr, Administrator for Jefferson County Juvenile and Family Services - Scott Charlton, Public Defender with Jefferson Associated Counsel - Gary Baird, Agent with Farmers Insurance - Dave Cunningham, with KPTZ radio news will facilitate the discussion Specifics are: When: Wednesday, May 11, 2015 6:00 to 8:00 pm Where: Chimacum High School Library Eats: Hearty Snacks 2 APPROVED May 12th, 2015  CPC’s second series of Strengthening Families sessions ended on March 19, 2015.  The next Strengthening Families sessions will begin in October, 2015. Registration will begin in September, 2015. Please contact Julia at jdanskin@co.jefferson.wa.us or Kelly at kmatlock@co.jefferson.wa.us with possible referrals.  CPC’s is involved with 2 tobacco prevention programs: Teen Against Tobacco Use (TATU), a peer-education program has been completed at the Chimacum Middle School and Community Assessment of Neighborhood Stores (CANS), a tobacco and alcohol prevention program, will be completed by the end of the school year. ALL SAAB MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY AND ALL CHIMACUM PREVENTION COALITION (CPC) EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES. Public Health Julia There will be no Board of Health meeting this month. Adam Marquis will be approved for the SAAB at the next Board of Health meeting. . County Drug & Alcohol Coordinator Ford Teresa informed the group that the largest Drug Court graduation is scheduled for April 30, 2015 and that invitations will be emailed to all SAAB members. Believe in Recovery Vince Vince reported his numbers are down by about 50%. He is seeing an increase in inpatient referrals. Four clients have relapsed within the past month. Mental Health Adam Adam Marquis reported working on the process of combining Chemical Dependency treatment and Mental Health treatment JMH is currently recruiting 2 Clinicians. A local prescriber has recently passed away. Adam is also working with Jefferson Healthcare in integrating Behavioral Health and Primary Care. There are concerns about the projected budgets deficits ($467,000.00) slated for July. Youth Report Mike No Report VI.
