Public Health Julia County Drug & Alcohol Coordinator Ford Ford reported that Safe Harbor Recovery Center will not be merging with Jefferson Mental Health Services (JMHS) at this time. Erroneous information had been received about the need to merge and Ford stated that a review will continue of the Washington Administrative Codes (WAC’s) and if it is determined that a merger is necessary talks will resume. Both Ford and Adam expressed the intention of Safe Harbor and Jefferson Mental Health to continue to work collaboratively just as they have been doing to provide services to Jefferson County residents. A Drug Court graduation is scheduled for December 3rd, 2016 at 8:30 am in the Superior Courtroom. Believe in Recovery Vince Vince reported Believe in Recovery will be having their first Victim Impact Panel on January 27th, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Cost to participate is $35.00 per person. Believe in Recovery is also offering Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS). Cost for ADIS is $100.00 per person. Mental Health Adam Adam reported he is having discussions with Charles Schaar of Avail Health about utilizing the KeyNotes patient records system. He is also checking out the EPIC system to see which system will better serve the needs of Jefferson Mental Health Services. JMHS is currently seeking to add on to their per diem on call list. VI. BHO Advisory Recruitment Adam reports that the applications for the BHO Advisory Committee have been reviewed and recommendations have been made to the Executive Committee. 3 No Quorum November 10th, 2015 VII. New Business Mike Evans inquired into the feasibility of new officers getting to spend time with Safe Harbor and JMHS to get educated on dealing with people with Mental Health and Substance Abuse issues. He felt this would be valuable training for new officers to have prior to having to interact with community members in their roles as police officers. Both Ford and Adam agreed this was a good idea and both agencies could accommodate this request. Adjourn: 4:30 pm Next Meeting: December 8th, 2015 Respectfully Submitted By: Kathleen Kler
