HomeMy WebLinkAbout030 17IN THE MATTER OF THE INTENTION TO SELL TAX TITLE COUNTY PROPERTY STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson RESOLUTION NO. 30-17 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose of tax title property; and WHEREAS, request has been received to purchase parcel #979-504-902, an undivided one-half interest in Lots 3 and 4, in Block 49, First Additional to Oil City Plat, Jefferson County, Washington. TOGETHER WITH that portion of the alley adjoining said lots that would pass by operation of law. Situate in the County of Jefferson, State of Washington. WHEREAS, the requirement Per R.C.W. 36.35.150 Tax Title property may be disposed of without bids in certain cases Section 1 (d) — when no acceptable bids were received at the attempted public auction of the property, if the sale is made within twelve months from the date of the attempted public auction has been met, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Jefferson County that they make a finding and determination as required by RCW 36.35.150 to declare the particularly described property as surplus and allow the Treasurer to proceed with the disposition of said property. Nelson has submitted an application to purchase tax title property, along with the amount due of $1,314.05 ANALYSIS: Per R.C.W. 36.35.150 Tax Title property may be disposed of without bids in certain cases Section 1 (d) — when no acceptable bids were received at the attempted public auction of the property, if the sale is made within twelve months from the date of the attempted public auction, which is the case for this property. FISCAL IMPACT: Return property to the tax role and receive $1,314.05 in back tax revenue and fees. RECOMMENDATION: Approve sale with Resolution.
