HomeMy WebLinkAboutM061416 Tourism Coordinating Council Jefferson County Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of the Coordinating Council June 14, 2016 (DRAFT) The June 14, 2016 meeting of the Tourism Coordinating Council (TCC) for Jefferson CALL TO ORDER County, was called to order at 10:05am by Chair Bill Roney, noting a quorum present. Voting Members present were: Bill Roney, Marsha Massey, Debbie Wardrop, Joy Baisch, Cleone Telling. TCC friends present: Aba Kiser TCC Marketing Coordinator present: Steve Shively Minutes from previous meeting were reviewed. Moved for approval by Cleone APPROVAL OF Telling, Seconded by Joy Baisch, Chair Bill Roney, called for TCC vote approved MINUTES minutes from the meeting conducted on May 10, 2016. Motion passed unanimously. Steve reviewed the May 2016 financials with TCC. Noting that JeffCo. reports APPROVAL OF TCC for March have been posted with positive 23.3% YTD performance ahead of FINANCIALS budget. Discussion on potential new impacts of lodging supply, countered by properties raising rates in response to FF&E (Furniture, Fixture & Equipment) investments. Debbie encouraged lodging to consider FF&E improvements and for exploration into dynamic rate management vs. traditional static fixed pricing or at best seasonal rate cards. Gaining an understanding on Airbnb lodging tax contributions remains a goal of TCC. Bill reported on progress of County TCC. Logistics, process and initial utilization of account still to be determined. Bill recommended tabling continued TCC 501 (c)6 efforts until this fall, with a revisit of how improved systems are working for best management of TCC programs. TCC was unanimously in agreement.
