PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of
comments made by individuals in attendance at the meeting and
reflect their personal opinions:
• An individual stated they would like to see the Jefferson
County Fairgrounds used to its maximum potential; and
• An individual commented on the significance of statues in
United States History.

SPECIAL RECESS: The Commissioners recessed the meeting to
view the Solar Eclipse.
UPDATE: The Washington State Department of Natural
Resources Briefed the Board on the 2nd Quarter County Income
Report.
ADDITIONAL BUSINESS:
1) EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board held an Executive
Session regarding potential litigation.
2) PAID TIME OFF (PTO) CASH OUT POLICY REVISION:
After review, the Board concurred with the County
Administrator’s intent to interpret existing policy
consistent with proposed revisions to the PTO and
Cash Out provisions of the Personnel Administration
Manual in handling Paul Walters’ retirement.
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed
various topics and Calendar Coordination with the County
Administrator.
