Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's &t Con's: This project is sixth asphalt preservation and restoration project on Center Road completed in recent years. The objective of the project is to correct ride quality defects, add structure and extend the life of the road for another 20 - 25 years. The work has been completed and Change Order #1 is necessary to increase the total contract amount to reflect actual final quantities for each bid item in the contract and to add the cost of additional safety/traffic control measures added to alert drivers to the culvert replacement excavation and road closure. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the total contract amount by $17,709.24 from $681,102.88 to $698,812.12. Construction of this project is funded 90% by CRAB, with the remainder from PIF. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three (3) originals of Change Order No. 1 with Lakeside Industries and return two signed (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
