Statement of Issue:
Authorization of Change Order #3 for the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail, Phase I Project,
CR1815 with Shold Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $6,000.00.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pros & Cons:
This change order is necessary to pay for costs for the added privacy fence, the added
pedestrian bridge concrete deck color admixture, and a credit for the non -epoxy coated
steel reinforcement in the precast concrete bridge abutments.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
The cost of this change order is $6,000.00 and 1 working day.
Recommendation:
Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 3 and return two
signed originals of each to Public Works for further processing.

special provisions for the type of construction involved.
This contract is revised as follows:

• Replace approximately 150 LF of Farm Fence with approximately 150 LF of new Privacy fence Privacy Fence to be 6' tall and
all cedar except the posts. Fence posts to be 4"x4" (min.) pressure treated ACQ fir or hem -fir and set in concrete. Privacy Fence to be
installed from station 25+50t to station 27+00± right, per the following new contract item and price:
Approval of source and Acceptance will be per WSDOT Local Agency Guidelines, Appendix 52.107 Exceptions to the
WSDOT Construction Manual - Fencing.
Item 37 Farm Fence, $11.00 LF, -$1,650.00 decrease
Item 50 Privacy Fence, $39.00 LF, +$5,850.00 increase

Add the following paragraph to this section:
The cast -in-place concrete decking shall be colored_ with one of the following concrete coloring admixtures manufactured
by one of the following companies or an approved equivalent.

1. Davis Color, Pueblo Brown 61078, 2.5# in concrete.
2. Butterfield, Uni-Mix Integral Concrete Colorant, U -26 -Lannon Stone
3. Scofield, Lithochrome Color Hardener, 5758 Weathered Sage
