Welcome and
Introductions
Welcome Zoe Ann Lamp, County staff
Work Plan Judy Surber explained minor revisions to the
work plan including the estimate from Cascadia
for the fiscal impact analysis ($10,000).
Backcast and
Forecast
Stan reviewed latest draft incorporating changes
as directed at the November CAC meeting
Potential
Measures
Several members had expressed concern about
forwarding the list to Council. Staff suggested an
introductory note explaining that the list was not
endorsed by the committee and not recommended
for adoption, it is merely a starting point.
Joint meeting of
BoCC and City
Council
The Joint meeting has been scheduled for January
12, at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers. Chair Kolff
and staff will be presenting.

Existing
Measures
Port of Port Townsend – Larry reported on Port’s
ongoing measures and provided staff with
completed worksheets.
US Navy - Commissioner John Austin and Karen
Barrows met with US Navy at Indian Island.
John reported on Navy’s efforts (Energy Audit
Tim to send list of
potential measures to
Kees and Judy for
incorporation into master
list.
Kees to follow up with
2002, improved lighting, electric vehicles, “live”
roofs, low sulfur diesel fuel, weatherization,
horse logging, and 2010 tidal generation study,
looking into more efficient generators). Navy is
targeting a 20% reduction of energy consumed
for the NW region by 2015.
PTSD - Tim and students met with Tom Opstad,
Superintendent of PTSD. Measures to reduce
GHG emissions include: Closure of Mountain
View.
City – Kees is waiting for information from Bob
LaCroix.
