Manager (RCM)
Brian Goldstein, RCM, introduced himself. His
most recent assignment was as RCM with the
Lake Washington School District He has received
LEED GA certification..
Call to order 3:10 p.m.
Approval of
Minutes and
Agenda
The committee approved the minutes from the
October 27, 2010 meeting by consensus.
Public Comments Harry Doyle explained the Chicago Climate
Exchange is closing and the Kyoto Protocol was
not extended. He encouraged the CAC to not
scare people into acting.
Gene Farr, concerned citizen, no comment at this
time.
Revised Work
Plan and Review
Draft Climate
Action Plan
Judy Surber distributed “Government Leading by
Example/Reauthorization of the Climate Action
Committee/Revised Workplan” dated October
2010. The committee reviewed the document and
discussed revisions.
General thought and comments on the draft
revised Climate Action Plan:
A couple members suggested the goals of the
plan need to bring the focus closer to the
individual.
It was pointed out the document is not a
public outreach document and is for the city
and county to adopt. Partners already have
Kees and Judy will
rewrite portions of the
work plan and submit to
the committee for review.
Judy will continue work
on the draft Climate
Action Plan.
individual actions that can be taken.
A suggestion was made to call out
intermediate targets in the plan.
The Executive Summary must be dynamic
and draw people in.
Next Meeting The next meeting is scheduled from 3:00 – 5:00
on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Port of
Port Townsend Administrative Office
